Yes!  Protecting your floors, walls and railings from damage, in both your current home and your new home, is important to us too. We have a few different forms of floor protection. The most common types are floor runners. These are neoprene rolls that our crew sets up at the entrance of your home. This is the most high traffic area, and where the majority of our moving activity will be happening.

We also have rolls of carpet shield. These adhere to your carpets and are used in a similar manner as the neoprene runners. Both are good for use on hard surfaces and carpet; however, the main benefit of carpet shield is that it can be used safely on stairways.

On commercial jobs, we often use Ram Board – a heavy –duty, temporary floor protection solution that rolls out flat and protects all types of flooring surfaces including hardwood, tile, concrete, linoleum, carpeting, VCT, terrazzo, marble and laminate floors. Masonite hardboards are also used in some high-end commercial applications.

For regular residential moves, our crews will typically bring the standard neoprene floor runners.  However, as you can see, we have many available options! These are just a few of our most commonly used floor protection. If extra equipment is desired, feel free to discuss it with your Moving Coordinator and ask for additional floor protection in advance. Contact us anytime if you have questions about the safety of your flooring on moving day.
